A church translation system without the equipment

Traditional systems need an interpreter, a transmitter and a box of receivers and headsets to buy, charge and hand out every week. Heartongue does the interpreting with AI and uses the phones your congregation already carries.

Pastor · EnglishLive

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you.”

Tiếng Việt

Ta để sự bình an lại cho các ngươi; Ta ban sự bình an Ta cho các ngươi.

한국어

평안을 너희에게 끼치노니 곧 나의 평안을 너희에게 주노라.

Español

La paz os dejo, mi paz os doy.

中文

我留下平安给你们,我将我的平安赐给你们。

Every listener hears the same sermon, in their own language, about two seconds behind the speaker.

What you need

A laptop connected to the sound desk (or a microphone) and an internet connection. Listeners need a phone and earphones. That is the whole system.

What replaces the equipment

Each room has a permanent QR code instead of receivers. Listeners pick Vietnamese, Korean, Spanish or Chinese and hear a natural voice about two seconds behind the speaker, with captions on screen.

What it costs to run

No hardware to buy or replace. 2 language-hours are free, then $4 per language-hour or a monthly plan; you only pay for languages people actually listen to.

When a traditional system is still better

For legal or medical interpretation, or when every word must be exact, use a professional human interpreter. Heartongue is made for sermons, announcements and talks where following along matters most.

Three steps, no app to install

1. Plug in at the sound desk

Open the Broadcast page on a laptop and choose the mixer or a microphone as input. Press Go live.

2. Put up the QR code

Every room has a permanent QR code. Print it on the bulletin or show it on screen once.

3. Listeners pick a language

They hear a natural voice in their earphones and read captions, about two seconds behind the speaker.

Glossary for names

Pastor's names, Bible books and ministry names are translated the same way every time.

Never cut mid-sermon

Running low on hours shows a warning, but a live broadcast is never stopped.

Private by default

No audio is stored, listeners need no account, and rooms can have a PIN for closed meetings.
